Theatre Vertigo is founded in by Paul Floding, Nanette Pettit and Jeff Meyers.
1998-1999
Theatre Vertigo produces seven well-received late-night productions throughout Portland.
Drammy Award for Supporting Actress to Lorraine Bahr, Lion in the Streets.
Drammy Award for Supporting Actress to Andrea White, Hellcab.
Drammy Award for Supporting Actor to Ted Schulz, The Grey Zone.
Drammy Award for Outstanding Direction to Michael Griggs, The Grey Zone.
1999
Theatre Vertigo moves to the Russell Street Theater and produces thirteen main stage productions.
2003
Theatre Vertigo finds a new home at The Electric Company.
Theatre Vertigo collaborates with Cardboard Box Theatre Company (now Anonymous Theatre Company) to produce a unique one-night event, and the "Anonymous Theatre" fundraiser is born.
Celebrated playwright Joseph Fisher writes the critically acclaimed Faust.Us specifically for the Theatre Vertigo acting ensemble. Stark Raving Theatre collaborates on the production.
2004
Theatre Vertigo moves to the Theatre Noir space at Theater Theatre on Belmont Street in the heart of southeast Portland.
Anonymous Theatre moves to a larger venue - ART's Main Stage - and performs
to a sold out house.
2005
Anonymous Theatre again moves to a larger Venue, Imago Theatre, and again sells out.
2006
Theatre Vertigo moves to its current location - the Arena Stage at Theater Theatre.
Theatre Vertigo collaborates with defunkt theatre [lowercase intentional] to produce the critically successful production Like I Say by Len Jenkin.
Theatre Vertigo and Anonymous Theatre Company mount A Funny Thing Happened on the
Way to the Forum to a sell-out crowd at Portland Center Stage's new Gerding Theater.
2007
Theatre Vertigo celebrates its 10th Anniversary Season!
The company initiates a Professional Development Workshop Series to further strengthen the acting ensemble's
craft. Workshop leaders included
Laura Faye Smith, Sarah Jane Hardy, Phillip Coumo, Jessica Wallenfels, Michael Rohd, and Conner Kerns.
Theatre Vertigo is named Best Fringe Theatre in the Willamette Week's Readers Poll.
Theatre Vertigo and Anonymous Theatre Company once again sell out Portland Center Stage's
Gerding Theater for the popular Anonymous Theatre fundraiser.
Drammy Award for Set Design to Ben Plont, Escape from Happiness.
2008
Theatre Vertigo collaborates with Tears of Joy Theatre to produce The Long Christmas Ride Home by Paula Vogel and wins a Drammy Award for Outstanding Puppeteering.
2009
Theatre Vertigo transitions its Board of Directors from ensemble to community members, and the company's budget grows, offering higher production values and increased wages for our artists.
Drammy Award for Supporting Actor to Garland Lyons, Romance.
2010
Theatre Vertigo receives a grant from Regional Arts & Cultural Council and Work for Art for its production of God's Ear.
Drammy Award for Supporting Actress to Amy Newman, God's Ear.
2011
Theatre Vertigo receives a grant from Regional Arts & Cultural Council and Work for Art for its production of 99 Ways to Fuck a Swan.
