The Love of the Nightingale, 2005-06 Season
Jesse
Young recently directed Valparaiso by Don DeLillo, kicking off
Vertigo’s 2006/07 season. He also be directed a short script by local
playwrights William S. Gregory and Matthew B. Zrebski entitled Let
There Be Word for JAW/West 2006. Jesse was last seen in Like
I Say, a collaboration between Vertigo and defunkt, in which he played
several characters including a German fruit baron and a plotting bi-sexual
contessa. Other Portland credits for Jesse include The Love of the
Nightingale with Vertigo, Chorpus Christi (staged reading)
with Profile Theatre, The Foreigner with West End Theatre, The
Bald Soprano with WillieWorks, and JAW/West 2005 with Portland Center
Stage. Jesse holds a B.A. in Theatre from Willamette University.
