Danielle Larson came to Portland three years ago to study Music and Drama at the University of Portland, and will graduate with a double major in Spring of 2011. Prior to coming to Portland, she grew up in Boise, Idaho, where she trained for three years with the Idaho Shakespeare Festival as both an apprentice and an intern, and later taught Shakespeare classes. Since moving to Portland, she has been seen as Rosina in the original Electric Opera Company’s Barber of Seville last spring, Anne Egerman in Mock’s Crest Productions’ A Little Night Music, and many productions with the University of Portland. Favorite roles at UP include Hero in Much Ado About Nothing, Jenny Diver in The Threepenny Opera, Janice in Italian American Reconciliation, and Marlene in Top Girls. Most recently, Danielle was seen as Rosina in Electric Opera Company’s first fully staged opera, The Barber of Bridgetown.
