About The Electric Company

In conjunction with Theatre Vertigo, e3 Productions introduces The Electric Company, Portland’s only dedicated theatrical lighting and sound design laboratory.

The Electric Company is a working laboratory for theatrical lighting
and sound designers, production designers and design engineers. Equipped
with a variety of professional theatrical lighting and sound
reproduction equipment, The Electric Company provides an open,
technically professional environment for the conceptualization,
development and testing of theatrical lighting and sound designs,
offering a working experience for Portland theatrical designers that
enhances their ability to conceptualize, develop and present their work.

As a community resource, The Electric Company will provide a number of
ongoing community development opportunities, including e3 Productions’
Design Grant Program and the University Exchange Program, whereby
Portland-area collegiate students will have the opportunity to gain real
world on-the-job experience working on designs with e3 Productions
designers.
